If you’ve been getting the

“This Photo is Currently Unavailable” message, I have fixed the

code for generating URLs. Now quickr pickr looks up the photo URL for each photo instead guessing at it.

Because quickr pickr now has to look up each photo it takes a little longer to generate the HTML code. This resulted in the page timing out before generating all the code, so I added some AJAX. Now each box says “Loading…” until the code has been generated.
It may take up to one minute to generate the code but it now works for 200 photo entries!

AJAX in the future

I hope to make improvements to quickr pickr using the new UI AJAX tools from yahoo, but don’t expect much until school is out. If anyone has any learning AJAX or Java guides (online) post a comment.

tags and enclosures

you can now search by tag or text and change where the links go

by being able to change the links allows users to create photo feeds with enclosures
checking the enclosure box adds rel=”enclosure”, this tells feedburner that the linked file is an enclosure

new url structure

You might notice the new URL structure for quickr pickr in you address bar. The new structure will allow for many new features, the first is to go stratight to the second step. To do this type

look no beta

I took beta off the logo because it was keeping many people from not using it. I guess they thought that the entries they generated would not work at a later time, but you take the html with you and I don’t control the entry after you generate it.

style your own posts

You can now style your own entries. Check this help article out for more information.

blogger and msn spaces

I have added links on the last page to automatically send your qp post to Blogger and MSN Spaces. If anyone can tell me how to do others, such as LiveJournal, MySpace, & etc., it would be great, just e-mail me.

Update: Feature was removed because it caused incomplete page loads.
